No. There are not any cameras inside the house. Exterior security cameras are located at the driveway gate, on the driveway and dock areas. The home also has motion sensors in the house that activate lights and water-leak sensors

Yes, we are dog-friendly and happy to welcome approved dogs. Every dog must be disclosed and approved before booking, and the reservation must reflect the correct number of dogs. Unapproved dogs, including dogs belonging to daytime visitors, are not permitted anywhere on the property.
The pet fee is $175 for one dog or $300 for two. This fee supports the additional upkeep of the home and yard; it does not cover waste clean up, excessive pet hair, fleas, or damage. We provide dog bowls, furniture-covering blankets, waste bags, and towels for rinsing dogs after outdoor activities.

No. The house is not childproofed. It has an open upstairs loft without a door or safety gate. The wooden stairs may also be slippery, especially when wearing socks. Children must be supervised at all times.
A youth chair, Pack ’n Play, and a safety gate for the entrance to the exterior upper deck are available upon request. Please note that this safety gate does not secure the open loft or indoor staircase.

The gate remote hangs behind the front door. Your gate code will be provided before arrival after the signed rental agreement has been returned. Please keep the gate closed to prevent wildlife from entering the property,

No. There is no fence between the yard and the lake, and the property has direct access to deep water. Rocks line the bulkhead, so children, non-swimmers, and pets must be supervised at all times near the water. No one should swim alone, and properly fitted life jackets should be worn when appropriate. Please review the lake photographs showing the safety cautions and approximate water depths, which may fluctuate.

No. The propane fireplace is not available for guest use. For safety, please do not attempt to light or operate it. The battery-operated candles on the mantle may be used with the provided remote. Do not try to light the candles with a lighter.

Yes. To comply with Putnam County’s short-term rental requirements, guests must provide the requested occupancy information and sign our rental agreement before the reservation is finalized. Only registered guests may be on the property unless approved by the owner. These requirements help us maintain our short-term rental license and protect your reservation.

No. Property owners may shoot off fireworks but short-term rental guests are not permitted to do so. The county ordinance sets the quiet hours for short term guests. The are from 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m daily. During those hours, please keep outdoor noise to a minimum. The ordinance also prohibits excessive dog barking.

Yes. Putnam County Code Enforcement has full-time and part-time staff who patrol short-term rental properties and respond to complaints. Guests are responsible for following all occupancy, parking, noise, fireworks and other county requirements during their stay.

There are hooks in each bedroom. The primary bedroom an armoire, and the loft has a small closet.

We usually keep firewood available, and you are welcome to use what is there. If firewood must be purchased, we will provide enough for one fire. Additional firewood can be arranged for a fee.

Guests do not have access to the detached garage, workshop, pantry, one designated kitchen cabinet, the upper linen cabinet in the primary bathroom, the primary bedroom closet, or the two reserved parking spaces outside the gate. These areas are locked or clearly identified.
Our boat, jet ski, and golf cart are not available for guest use. However, guests may use the dock and mooring for their own or rented boat or jet ski.

There is a neighboring home to the left and another to the right, with one vacant lot providing separation.
From time to time, the private apartment above the detached garage may also be occupied by a long-term tenant. The apartment is completely separate from the lake house, with its own entrance and reserved parking outside the gate. You have privacy and there are no shared spaces. The setup is similar to having a quiet neighbor. You may occasionally see the resident coming or going, but any interaction is very unlikely. The resident does not have access to the lake house, backyard, patios, dock, or guest amenities.

No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the house, on the porches or patios, anywhere in front of the house, or within 20 feet of the lake house or garage apartment. Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking area. Please place all cigarette and cigar butts in the provided receptacle. Never place them on the ground or in the lake.

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old and must remain at the property throughout the reservation. There must be at least one adult aged 25 older for every two guests under age 25. Minors may not be on the property alone.
Additional visitors are not permitted without prior approval, even if they will not be staying overnight. We are licensed for 8 guests. Putnam County ordinance states, “two people per bedroom plus two.”

Yes. The lake house has central air conditioning provided by a heat-pump system. Please do not set the thermostat below 68°F, as this may cause the system to freeze and stop cooling.

Everyone who will be on the property, including daytime visitors, must be listed on the occupancy letter. The property is licensed for a maximum of eight people at any time.
